Entoforms are life, grown in the computer, printed in 3D, collected by macouno.
- Whose project this is.
The Entoforms are macouno‘s creation. He has been working on this project since januari 2011. - Where you can see them.
For all of March 2012 you can find them in the window at puntspatie (across the street from the Artis zoo in Amsterdam).
They were shown at the Affordable art fair in Amsterdam in the fall of 2011. - Where you can get you own!
Please read the purchase page for more information about acquiring your very own Entoform! - Where the name ‘Entoforms’ comes from.
Entoforms are shapes/variations (forms) of creatures much like our current-day insects. They are also collected and presented just like Entomologists collect and present their subjects. - DNA
The Entoforms have DNA much like our own. Where our DNA is actually: deoxyribonucleic acid… if you look at a scientific notation of a DNA sequence it is usually a string of lettes much like: “ATGCCGTTAGACCGT”. The DNA of Entoforms can actually be any text whatsoever!
I made an introduction explaining the project at the start of the Crowdfunding campaign (summer of 2010)
